| Diamonds really are a girls best friend! Wait until you see this stunning Cartier in America exhibit. There hasn't been an exhibit like this anywhere in the world for 20 years. The last was in Paris and since then a significant number of pieces have been added. Cartier celebrates its 100th year in America anniversary with this eye-catching exhibit, the famous French jeweler will exhibit its most beautiful historic pieces from the Private Collection of Cartier at the Legion of Honor. Cartier came to fame as the “King of Jewelers” during the Belle Époque for his beautifully made diamond and platinum jewelry created for the courts of Europe and Americans of the Gilded Age During the Art Deco era, Cartier fashioned some spectacular pieces for celebrities of the day from the Duchess of Windsor to Jean Cocteau. The exhibit will include a short home movie taken when Liz Taylor received her Ruby and Diamond Necklace, Bracelet and Earrings while vacationing in the French Riviera in 1957, wearing only a bathing suit and those beautiful jewels. Also, see the exotic "Flamingo Clip Brooch belonging to the Duchess of Windsor, Princess Grace of Monaco's personal jewelry (the first time ever on exhibit) including her engagement ting and her grand diamond necklace.
