Yellowstone's winter season is a magical time. The snow is pristine and sparkling. Wildlife-watching is at its peak and some 10,000 hydrothermal features, including erupting geysers and steaming rivers, provide stark contrast to the blanket of snow. The crowds of summer are gone and the glories of the park are wide-open. Yellowstone's snow-packed roads are closed from December through March. Travel through the park in snow coaches (tracked vehicles). Spend one night in Bozeman, 3 nights at the Old Faithful Snow Lodge, 2 nights at Jackson, Wyoming's Historic downtown Wart Hotel, and the final night in Salt Lake City. While in Jackson, enjoy The Wyoming Stagecoach Sled Dog Races and a sleigh ride through the National Elk Preserve. Our final activity is the Sunday morning radio broadcast of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Winter is truly the best time to visit Yellowstone National Park's 2.2 million acres. You can either fly to Bozeman and return from Salt Lake City or take our Coach - both options have additional cost.
