Leonardo da Vinci is one of the greatest minds of all time, and Machines in Motion brings his ideas to life! This wondrous exhibit features 40 of da Vinci's inventions which he grouped into areas of air, land, fire and water. These life size, fully-operational mechanisms have been recreated by skilled present day artisans. Marveled at things such as his robot, his parachute, his machine gun, his tank, his printing press and his hang glider. His attempts at giving man "wings" are especially evocative. Begin this day in Sacramento at the special 3D showing of Living in the Age of Airplanes narrated by Harrison Ford followed by lunch at Ella Dining Room before heading to the Aerospace Museum of California for the Leonardo da Vinci "Machines in Motion" Exhibit.
