Today we will travel the backroads trough the quaint Delta towns of Walnut Grove and Rio Vista stopping to visit off-the-beathen-path attractions from America's only endive producer to an art gallery. Late lunch/early dinner will be at a great Delta Joint - Guisti' Place - featured on Guy Fieri's Drive Ins, Diners & Dives show. It's run by 4th generation of the family and Grandpa was good friends with Earle Stanley Gardner, who wrote Perry Mason and hung out in the Delta.
The Highlight of the day will be the Isleton Crane Preserve where docents with high powered telescopes will teach us about the cranes prior to sunset when the cranes fly. They will take your breath away! A new twist for Daytripping's annual Sandhill Crane Tour.
