Description

This year's parade promises let out all the stops. It will include a team of Irish dancers, fully-dressed military regiments, costumed marchers, several school bands, an assortment of St. Patty's Day floats, representatives from the police and fire departments, and other cultural organizations. Tartan clad Highlanders will march to the sweet sound of authentic Irish bagpipes, while dancers in decorative Celtic attire will also perform. In addition, historic re-enactors of the Gold Rush and the wildly popular, always wacky Ophir Prison Marching Band will perform for the crowd. Its focus is to celebrate the variety and richness of our diverse community in an enjoyable, wholesome atmosphere.
